From Research Questions to Reliable Evidence.
DMRA provides integrated research, insights and fieldwork capabilities to help organizations understand markets, consumers, communities and the social and behavioral factors that shape decisions and outcomes. Our work spans market and consumer research, social and behavioral research, public health and development research, retail and distribution intelligence, and complex fieldwork and data-quality assignments across Francophone Africa.
Markets change. Consumer expectations evolve. Competitive environments become more complex. DMRA helps organizations build a clearer understanding of consumers, brands, markets, competitors, retail channels and distribution dynamics — turning research into evidence that supports better commercial and strategic decisions. Our Market & Consumer Intelligence capabilities are organized around four fundamental business questions.
Who are your consumers — and what drives their choices?
We help organizations understand consumer needs, attitudes, behaviors, experiences and decision drivers to identify opportunities and strengthen market strategies.
How is your brand perceived and performing?
DMRA helps organizations understand how consumers perceive their brands, how those perceptions evolve and how marketing activities influence awareness, consideration and engagement.
Where are the opportunities — and what is happening around you?
We combine research and multiple sources of market evidence to help organizations understand market structures, competitors, customer propositions and emerging opportunities. Featured capability — Competitive Intelligence: combining desk research, mystery shopping, semi-structured interviews, digital intelligence and evidence triangulation to move beyond isolated information and build a complete understanding of the competitive environment.
What is really happening where products meet the market?
DMRA helps manufacturers, distributors, investors and other organizations understand retail structure, distribution channels, product presence, pricing, promotions and competitive activity at the point of sale. Services include rolling census, out-of-stock and retail price monitoring, and market share estimation in volume and value.
In 2025, DMRA conducted a retail market research assignment in Côte d’Ivoire covering multiple Home Care and Personal Care categories, capturing brands, origins, prices, packaging, promotions and key category players, complemented by qualitative interviews with point-of-sale owners or managers.
Reliable research depends on more than a well-designed questionnaire. It requires careful preparation, capable field teams, consistent supervision and rigorous quality control throughout the process. DMRA provides quantitative and qualitative fieldwork capabilities for organizations requiring reliable local research execution across Francophone African markets.
Strong fieldwork starts before the first interview.
DMRA prepares each assignment around the requirements of the research methodology, target population and local field environment.
Reliable execution at scale — and beyond the numbers.
DMRA conducts quantitative fieldwork (CAPI, CATI, face-to-face, community-based surveys) and qualitative fieldwork (in-depth interviews, focus groups, triads, expert interviews), delivered independently or integrated into mixed-method designs.
Quality is managed throughout fieldwork — not checked only at the end.
DMRA integrates supervision and quality-control procedures throughout research execution to help identify inconsistencies early and protect data integrity.
An additional layer of confidence in research execution.
DMRA can also operate independently from the primary fieldwork team to provide an additional level of verification.
Independent quality-control support covering 7,800 interviews across Côte d’Ivoire (6,100) and Senegal (1,700).
RMS follows the outlet universe and what happens at the shelf, while the Consumer Brand Barometer (CBB) captures the needs and loyalty of distribution partners.
Keep your outlet universe up to date.
Rolling census
As the universe generally deteriorates at a rate of 3% per quarter, it is imperative to carry out updates through a rolling census or occasional enumeration of types of points of sale.

Build the right methodology for the question and the context.
Turn the methodology into an executable field plan.
Deliver consistent quantitative and qualitative fieldwork.
Quality is managed throughout fieldwork.
Move from collected information to reliable evidence.
Research becomes valuable when it answers the original question.
You may already know the methodology you need — or you may simply have a market, social, behavioral or development question that needs reliable evidence. DMRA can help you determine the research approach best suited to your objectives.
